I have worked for more than 25 years as a teacher in a wide variety of schools in the UK and abroad. In recent years I have supported children across the school with phonics, reading, maths and writing. This has been through catch up interventions throughout the school and SATs booster sessions in both key stage 1 and key stage 2. I have also tutored children for 11+ and entrance tests. My knowledge of SATs and other assessments in the primary school is strong. I am familiar with expectations and standards and know how to coach and challenge children to achieve them.

As an experienced and successful teacher, I understand what good learning looks like; I see the importance of engaging children with a range of teaching styles, promoting high expectations at all times, ensuring that work is sufficiently challenging and making changes if not, and recognising gaps in learning.
