Through the study of English, you understand literature. Through the study of Literature, you understand self, others and society. The teacher of English is the cord linking all these dimensions of the English classroom into a seamless and meaningful experience for the learners. I am such a teacher, with seven (7) years of experience and proven success in the field. I have taught at schools ranging from traditional to upgraded secondary schools and have also taught adult learners. I have also engaged in consistent acts of volunteerism and professional development so as to simultaneously help others and better myself as a professional and an individual. For my efforts and successes with students under my care, I was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award, and I continue to seek out ways of enabling my students to be their best selves.
