I am a private tutor and musician holding a first-class degree (MSci) in Chemistry from Imperial College London. I am currently a research postgraduate at Imperial College London, researching novel MRI probes for brain imaging. My area of expertise is in inorganic chemistry, including coordination chemistry, NMR spectroscopy, main group, transition metal, organometallic, and lanthanide and actinide chemistry.

I tutor in the West London and West Midlands Regions. I am fully DBS checked. I received the award for best GCSE results (7A*, 4A), and best AS results (5A) from Plantsbrook School, and achieved A2 results of 3A* and an A - once again the best in the school. At Imperial, I was a member of the Faculty of Natural Science Dean`s List (top 10% of chemistry students) for all four years of my degree. I also received the HVA Briscoe Excellence in Inorganic Chemistry Prize in my final year at Imperial College London. I am an ex-principal tuba player for the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Great Britain, performing with them for 3 years. I am able to tutor for GCSE Chemistry, Physics, and Music, A-Level Chemistry, and Degree-level Chemistry.

I have completed A levels and GCSEs and obtained very high grades in all of the subjects that I tutor for. I have also volunteered at my local school as a teaching assistant during my gap year and have gained teaching experience with both Science and Music students, as well as just general experience of teaching and being around children. All of the students I tutored said that I was a great help in getting them to achieve their grades. All of my students either hit or exceeded their target grade(s) for the subject(s) I tutored them for. I also completed work experience at Harris Westminster Sixth Form as part of my degree where I taught A-level chemistry lessons. I have also tutored throughout my degree, helping several students secure the grades needed to head to their first-choice university. I also regularly assist the outreach department at Imperial College, teaching on their annual Chemistry Summer School and demonstrating in practical lab sessions to undergraduates.

My teaching methodology is based heavily on practicing questions and past papers. I believe that the best way to learn is to apply what you know. So many times I have witnessed students that think they know a topic because they have read their notes, but it is not until they actually try to apply their knowledge that they realise that they are not 100% confident. The lesson structure varies depending on the person I am tutoring and how they best learn. This could be mainly through questions, guided worksheets, or PowerPoint presentations.
